i'm pretty much in love with the concept of the book, each meal includes a main course, salad, and a dessert that one should be able to cook in less than an hour. shopping for the ingredients could be tricky but i like the challenge. Plus it'll give me a chance to cook food items i have never tackled before like mussels and duck, yikes.
First meal, Broccoli Orecchiette, Zucchini and Bocconcini salad, Prosciutto and Melon salad.
I didn't look at the serving size so i made enough for 6, we should have enough leftovers for a d ay or two to take to work. I'm not sure if i can post the recipes in my blog since they are from a book but if anyone is interested let me know and i i'll look into sharing some of them privately. This first meal didn't include a dessert, starting it easy i assume.
Hubby loved the foods even though i feel i could have used more salt. I don't know why i'm always scared of over seasoning foods so i end up under seasoning. Also, just wanted to mention that i'm not a fan of Prosciutto but that's the fun of trying new meals.
The photos in the book are much better than mine but that's what you get trying to take pictures while the sun is setting. Come on Summer!!!
